FORT MYERS, Fla. -
Camryn Feast doubled home
Emily Chiarella in her first collegiate hit but the Eagles would ultimately fall to the No. 4 Huskies, 6-2.
FGCU showed off some stellar defense when
Neely Peterson threw out two potential base stealers in the second and fourth innings. The Green and Blue continued to erase base runners in the third inning when the Eagles turned their second double play of the season and continued to turn two with another double play in the sixth.
The offense came alive late in the night when
Tiffany Meek came around to score when her speed caused a throw to be rushed and she advanced all the way home on the error. Feast then ripped a double down the left field line in her first collegiate hit.
The Eagles hit better in the lead off spot, getting four hits to the Huskies three.
Up next for the Green and Blue, is the Owl Classic in Boca Raton, Fla.
