Rested Eagles look to carry momentum into Stetson

FORT MYERS, Fla. - After a week off in a tough Atlantic Sun Conference schedule, Florida Gulf Coast University will look to continue the momentum gained from its last contest as it travels to DeLand to take on Stetson University. The Saturday matinee is set for a 2 p.m. tip.

The Eagles (11-15, 5-6 ASUN) earned a 63-52 victory over Bellarmine last Saturday in Alico Arena to improve positioning down the stretch for the ASUN tournament. Keeshawn Kellman had a double-double in the contest with 17 points and 11 rebounds, with Dallion Johnson also adding 17 points in the winning effort.

Stetson (16-11, 8-3) has yet to lose at home in the ASUN this season. The Hatters sit in second place in the league, just one game behind Eastern Kentucky for the top spot.

This is the second meeting of the season between the two teams. FGCU won the Jan. 20 meeting in Alico 80-56, the worst loss for Stetson in league play this season.
