Men's golf hosts The Island at West Bay Club Collegiate Invitational

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf hosts The Island at West Bay Club Collegiate Invitational beginning Sunday at the West Bay Club in Estero, Florida.

The Island at West Bay Club Collegiate Invitational marks the first time in which FGCU has hosted a tournament since 2022. The tournament is free and open to the public. Eagles fans, if you plan on attending this weekend, please fill out the spectator form. FGCU will host its second event later on in the spring.

A total of 14 premier colleague golf programs will be competing at West Bay: Coastal Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Elon, FGCU (HOST), Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville, Liberty, Lipscomb, Maryland, Middle Tennessee, Oral Roberts, Penn State, Stetson and USF. Liberty qualified for an NCAA Regional last year, while both Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic and FGCU sent an individual.

Rounds one and two are scheduled for Sunday, with the third and final round to follow on Monday. Round one begins at 8:30 a.m., and the tournament will pick back up Monday at 9 a.m. For weather updates, follow FGCU Men's Golf on X at FGCU_Mgolf. The practice round and a Pro/Am event will take place on Saturday. 

West Bay Club presents a par 72, 6,960-yard course revealing the natural beauty of the Southwest Florida landscape. Live results of the invitational will be available through LeaderboardKing.

FGCU finished third at the Rod Myers Invitational and tied for eighth at the Bearcat Invitational earlier this season. Sebastian Gamboa earned a top-10 finish up in Cincinnati, while freshman Brett Moore tied for fifth at the Rod Myers, highlighting the Green and Blue thus far.
