Volleyball hits the road for West Georgia and Queens

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- After picking up two road victories last weekend, Florida Gulf Coast University volleyball will head out for a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference matches starting Friday. The Eagles will first visit West Georgia in Carrollton, Geogia, at 6 p.m. before taking on Queens University of Charlotte Sunday at 1 p.m.

There will be live stats and live stream on ESPN+ available for both matches. 

This will be only the second match between the Eagles (18-4, 10-1 ASUN) and the Wolves (9-13, 2-8 ASUN) as FGCU earned a sweep Sept. 29 in Alico Arena.

The Green & Blue have faced the Royals (6-15, 3-7 ASUN) four times and have not lost a match, with the most recent contest being Sept. 28 in Fort Myers where the Eagles earned the sweep.

FGCU's clinched a spot in the ASUN Championship following last Saturday's victory. Skylar English was named this week's ASUN Player of the Week.

The Green & Blue is also represented nationally as English is third in country for service aces with 54 team is fourth overall with 180. Shelby Kent is 19th in kills (350) and points with 398.5.

West Georgia is coming off a 3-0 defeat at Central Arkansas Sunday and the Royals fell 3-2 at North Alabama.
