Eagles return for final home weekend

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University will wrap up the home portion of the regular season schedule this Friday and Saturday when it hosts Kennesaw State University and Queens College of Charlotte for a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference volleyball matches. First serve Friday night against KSU is set for 7 p.m., with Saturday night's showdown with Queens slated for 6 p.m. Both matches will be available via ESPN+.

The Eagles (20-5, 12-0 ASUN) has won 13 matches in a row, dating back to the start of ASUN play Sept. 22 against Jacksonville. FGCU leads the ASUN regular season standings by two games over Lipscomb University with four regular season matches to play. Two wins by FGCU or one FGCU win and a Lipscomb loss will give the Eagles the top seed in the ASUN Championships Nov. 16-18 in Alico Arena.

KSU (14-9, 7-5 ASUN) has won three matches in a row via sweep. The streak has moved the Owls into a tie for fourth in the league standings. The Eagles earned a tough five-set win over KSU in this season's previous meeting in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Queens (4-20, 1-11 ASUN) has lost five matches in a row. FGCU swept Queens the last time the teams met.
