FGCU looks to best North Alabama

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University will look to stay unbeaten in Atlantic Sun Conference volleyball play for 2023 as the Eagles travel to face the University of North Alabama. First serve from Florence, Alabama is set for 6 p.m. CDT and will be available on ESPN+.

The Eagles (19-5, 11-0 ASUN) clinched a spot in the ASUN Championship with a 3-2 win over Stetson University Tuesday night in DeLand. Alexandra Zakutney had 17 kills and 17 digs to help pace the Eagles, with Lily Tessier dishing out 50 assists, her second-consecutive match with 50 or more assists. FGCU has won 12 matches in a row, with seven of those wins coming in five sets.

UNA (14-9, 6-5 ASUN) has won three matches in a row, with all three victories coming in four sets. Most recently, the Lions traveled to and defeated the University of Central Arkansas, 3-1.
