Eagles take win streak on the road to Kentucky

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Riding a nine-match winning streak, Florida Gulf Coast University will look for two more wins in Atlantic Sun Conference volleyball action as the Eagles take on Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky., Friday evening at 6 p.m. before facing Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Eagles (16-5, 8-0 ASUN) are coming off a 3-2 win over Florida International University Tuesday night in Alico Arena. Courtney Glotzbach was 11-for-11 in kills over the final two sets of the match as the Eagles rallied to the win. ASUN Defensive Player of the Week Reese Burry had 27 digs while ASUN Freshman of the Week Ella Chapman added seven kills and three total blocks.

Bellarmine (8-12, 6-2 ASUN) is coming off a pair of five-set wins on the road last weekend. The Knights earned a 17-15 win in the fifth set to top Jacksonville University last Friday. Bellarmine than won the final two sets to defeat the University of North Florida last Saturday.

EKU (15-5, 5-3 ASUN) lost both ends of its River City swing last weekend, falling to UNF in four and being swept by Jacksonville.

Both matches will be available via ESPN+.
