Augusta, GA '" The Florida Gulf Coast University volleyball (24-2) team took their second win this weekend against regional opponents with a three-game sweep of Augusta State University. The Eagles, who are currently ranked second in the South Region, defeated the Jaguars (5-22) 30-15, 30-13 and 30-17. 
This is the 15th straight win for the Eagles this season, which extends their school record. The Eagles also have captured 24 wins to match last year's final win total.
The Eagles were led by junior middle blocker Erika Fonseca (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) at the net with 20 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. Fonseca has been leading the team all season and now has collected a total of 341 kills for the Eagles squad. Second in kills was sophomore middle blocker 
Tamra Grigsby (West Palm Beach, FL) who collected 11 kills and three blocks.
On defense, sophomore 
Brooke Youngquist (Fort Myers, FL) posted 12 digs and sophomore 
Whitney Hendry collected 10. Youngquist also collected seven kills for the Eagles as an outside hitter.
The Eagles offense was yet again led as a 6-2 with setter 
Laura Manovill (Dunedin, FL) posting 23 assists and setter 
Ciara Sandoval (Fort Myers, FL) collecting 19 assists.
Senior rightside hitter 
Devon Watts (Somerville, TX) led the team in blocks and hitting percentage. She posted five total blocks and a .615 percentage with eight kills.
The Eagles will take on Lynn University on Tuesday November 1 at Alico Arena at 7:00 p.m.
