TAMPA, Fla '" The 11th ranked University of Tampa volleyball team defeated Florida Gulf Coast University 30-26, 30-20, and 30-19 for a three-game win Wednesday night. Freshman middle blocker Lauren Stockman-Puder (Fort Myers HS) led the Eagles with eight kills. Junior hitter Devon Watts (Somerville, TX) added seven kills. The Eagles were led defensively by freshman libero Whitney Hendry (Fort Myers Bishop Verot) with eight digs. Tampa was able to contain the Eagles offensive attack in part to libero Margeaux Sinibaldi, who set a career-high with 30 digs. Tampa has now won five straight matches and improved to 13-3 on the season.
