The FGCU swimming and diving team defeated FSU 220.5-132.5 and Florida Southern 301-40 in Tallahassee, Fla. this weekend. Freshman Elise Haan (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS) improved her individual record to 7-0 to start her collegiate career with a win in the 100-yard backstroke. With a time of 54.73 seconds, the freshman swimmer achieved a NCAA ‘B’ cut qualifying time in the event for the third-consecutive week.
