Stephen Tomasco joins the FGCU Eagle Family as the Assistant Director of Internal Affairs after being hired in November of 2022. Before joining the Eagles, Tomasco worked for two years with the University of Memphis and over three years with Stonehill College. Â
At the University of Memphis, Tomasco worked with both Conference and Events Services and the Urban and Regional Planning departments. With Conference and Events, he assisted with the management of the university center and staff. Along with this he also served as the point of contact for external events held at the university center. During his time with Urban and Regional Planning, he assisted in all aspect of department operations.
At Stonehill, Tomasco served as the Operations Manager for the athletics department. He managed all aspects equipment services as well as game operations for football and ice hockey. He served as the tournament manager for the 2018 NCAA DII East Regional Women’s Basketball tournament.Â
Tomasco began his career in college athletic administration as a promotions, game operations and event management assistant at Sacred Heart University. He helped to manage game operations, promotions, and ticket sales for the Pioneers' 32 NCAA Division I varsity sports. In addition, he has also spent time with the University of Connecticut and ALSAC/St Jude.
Tomasco graduate of Mount Ida College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. He continued his academic studies by earning a master’s degree in education with a focus in athletic administration from Endicott College and a master’s degree in accounting and finance from Southern New Hampshire University.
Tomasco is a native of Milford, Connecticut and currently lives in Fort Myers with his wife Courtney and two dogs Tillie and Douglas.
