Nick comes to Florida Gulf Coast University from Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, in Louisville, Ky where he spent the last year and a half overseeing the consumer sales team and selling premium seating for the Kentucky Derby. Prior to that he spent time in ticket and partnership sales with Louisville City FC of the USL Championship and Racing Louisville FC of the NWSL.
While selling premium seating for the Kentucky Derby, Nick helped to bring in record revenues and attendance figures for Kentucky Derby week and generated over $1 million in revenue in six months.
In overseeing the consumer sales team, he helped coach and develop the next generation of sports business professionals. Having helped his reps secure full-time roles at Churchill Downs, Louisville Bats, Louisville City FC/Racing Louisville FC, Coady Photography, and other organizations.
Prior to his work in sales, he spent 6 years coaching high school football in Louisville. He won two state championships as an assistant coach with Christian Academy of Louisville in 2016 and 2018. The 2018 season saw his team go undefeated while he coached two running backs to individual 1000-yard rushing seasons.
In his role as Director, Sponsorships & Ticket Sales, he leads the team from Playfly Aspire Sports to assist FGCU in ticket, sponsorship, and NIL sales.
Born and raised in Naples, Nick comes back to Southwest Florida having graduated with his bachelors in History from the University of Louisville in 2012 and his masters in Sports Administration in 2020, also from the University of Louisville.
Nick lives in Naples with his wife Mollie and their three children.
