Alana Johnson is in her first year as an athletic trainer at FGCU in 2018-19, where she will be working with the swimming and diving team.

Johnson graduated from Florida Southern College in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. While there, she held internships with the football, men’s lacrosse, men’s basketball and softball teams. On top of that, she interned with the Southeastern University football team while in college.

In the summer of 2017, Johnson interned with the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, where she assisted in treatments and rehabilitation, made sure the locker rooms were set up on game days, took athletes to doctor’s appointments and helped out the visiting athletic trainer.
 
Johnson, who aspires to work in the WNBA, was born in Naples. She currently resides in Fort Myers.
