Puisis finished her historic career in 2019 with 57 overall wins and 21 conference wins, both of which rank second in program history. Alongside her partner Karissa Rhoades, the duo teamed together for the final 77 matches of their career and became the first two-time First Team All-ASUN pair in program history. In fact, they finished 1-2 in career wins for the Eagles.

Puisis capped her career by finishing 20-8 (.714) at the No. 2 pair as a senior alongside Rhoades. It was tied for the third-most wins in a single-season in program history, and their winning percentage was fifth-best at the time of their graduation. They also finished 6-2 in conference play as Puisis pushed her career ASUN win total to 21, just one behind her partner for most in the program’s history.

Another stellar campaign from Puisis led her and Rhoades to a 17-8 season. The duo broke the program’s single season wins record and tallied a career-high eight wins in ASUN play. The duo’s 13 wins at the No. 2 pair broke the previous program record set by Ashley Glickert and Giovanna Borgiotti in 2017.
Impressively, the duo also produced a team-high three victories over ranked teams – March 10 against No. 15 FAU, March 21 vs No. 13 FIU and April 4 vs No. 17 Stetson. The first one came from the No. 3 pair while the other two came at the deuce. In fact, those were the first two program wins over ranked teams from a No. 2 pair.

Puisis had a breakout campaign as a sophomore when she teamed with Rhoades for all 24 matches. The duo finished 15-9, which tied the program’s single season wins record, and produced its first career win over a ranked team on March 27 against No. 14 FAU. In fact, it was the program’s first-ever win over a ranked team from a No. 3 pair. Her performance helped her earn First Team All-ASUN recognition.
As A Freshman (2016) | Match-By-Match Stats (PDF)
In 2016, Puisis finished 5-7 overall at the No. 3 and 5 pairs, the latter of which she went 4-4 with Leigh Pudwill. She paired with Glickert to win her collegiate debut on March 15 against Stevenson, and she produced a three-match winning streak with Leigh Pudwill April 9-10 against South Carolina, UAB and the College of Charleston.

Prior to FGCU
Puisis played four years under the tutelage of Tiann Myer at William Mason High School, where she was named Second Team All-Conference as a freshman while ranking eighth in the state in the state of Ohio. She finished her career with three First Team All-Conference awards and was named First Team All-District as a junior and senior. During her final year, she was named Third Team All-Ohio and the Conference Player of the Year. She played beach volleyball for Ohio Valley Region Beach Volleyball Club with coach Rob Long where she ranked first in Ohio in the U16 and U18 standings and finished top 20 at the JBT Nationals in Milwaukee. The following year she finished top 10 in Milwaukee and took second place at the JBT event in Ohio. Off the court, Puisis boasted a 4.0 cumulative grade point average and earned the OHSVCA Award for outstanding academics in a varsity sport in all four years of competition.
