Erika Rodriguez is in her first year as assistant athletic trainer at FGCU in 2018-19. She has three years of athletic training experience and currently serves as the athletic trainer for the women’s soccer and men’s tennis teams.

During her undergraduate career, Rodriguez had internships with the Fort Myers Miracle, which is a Minnesota Twins minor league affiliate, and Ave Maria University. Following graduation and certification, she served as a resident athletic trainer at FGCU from 2016-17, primarily covering men’s soccer and women’s tennis.

Rodriguez also served as a resident assistant athletic trainer at the University of South Florida from 2017-18, primarily covering men’s soccer. She has also had the opportunity of working with the U.S. Soccer Paralympic National Team.

Rodriguez graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in athletic training from FGCU. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in advanced athletic training from the University of South Florida.
