Abby Daniels is in her first year as an athletic trainer at FGCU in 2018-19.
The Chattanooga, Tenn. native received her bachelor of science degree in exercise science from Berry College in 2016 and a master of science in athletic training from UT Chattanooga in 2018.
While at Berry, she was a student-athlete on the softball team for two years and completed work study for four years in the sports medicine department before graduating summa cum laude. While at UTC, she completed clinical rotations with the softball and football teams, Covenant College and various high schools in the Chattanooga area.

While at UTC, her graduate research project looked at the predictive value of injury risk screening tests for collegiate volleyball athletes. At Berry, Daniels was involved in a faculty research study concerning the effects of exercise on peripheral opioid receptor activity in a rat model of fibromyalgia.Â
