Joyce Prive has been an assistant coach for FGCU cheerleading since the 2013-14 season following a stint as head coach from 2007-13. 
 
Joyce is originally from Rock Island, Ill. Her previous experience includes cheering at Glendale Community College in Arizona as well as coaching at the high school and all-star levels. Joyce was a captain of the inaugural cheerleading squad for FGCU in 2002 and cheered for the Eagles for three years. 
 
Joyce shares her passion for the Green and Blue with her husband, Loren, who was a member of the inaugural baseball team and is currently the Director of Business Operations for FGCU. The two met at FGCU in campus housing and were married in 2006. They have two children. 
 
Her favorite coaching memories include being courtside while the men’s basketball team shocked the world in 2013 and traveling with the women’s basketball team to California for the NCAA tournament and watching them upset Missouri in 2018.
