Emily Chaikin

Emily has been the Head Coach of FGCU Cheerleading since the 2013-2014 season, originally starting her career with the Eagles as an Assistant Coach in the spring of 2013.

Emily’s cheerleading experience includes working for the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) Missouri staff for four years, ultimately becoming a head instructor for the company. Her previous coaching experience is at the high school and all-star competitive level. During her collegiate cheerleading career she cheered for the University of Central Missouri for three years in which she was the team captain for two years. Her main focus was cheering for football and basketball, but was also involved in promotions for soccer, cross country and baseball as well as being heavily involved in Homecoming, Court Warming and several philanthropic activities during her time at UCM. 

Emily also currently works full time for the university in the Business Operations Department. Emily looks forward to continuing the program’s traditions and values while also bringing innovative and new ideas to the team. She plans to energize and enhance the game-day atmosphere, cultivate new traditions, and continue to build the FGCU Cheerleading program.
