Dan Teliski

Dan Teliski was promoted to Senior Associate AD for Compliance in April 2026 after serving as the Assistant AD for Compliance since June 2024. He is responsible for all aspects of the FGCU Athletics compliance program including but not limited to strategic planning, revenue sharing and NIL oversight and compliance, eligibility, certification, recruitment, financial aid, athletic aid agreements, NCAA reports, academics, staff and student-athlete education, cross-campus education, transfer processes, NCAA waivers, rules interpretations and legislation. Teliski has also played a key role in leading the FGCU transition into the NCAA’s post-House Settlement landscape, as the Eagles have become competitive in the areas of revenue sharing and NIL.

Teliski serves as member of FGCU Athletics senior staff and is the sport administrator for a baseball program that won the 2025 ASUN Tournament. He works hand-in-hand with FGCU head coach Dave Tollett, who has also served as a member of the USA Baseball coaching staff.

Teliski was previously chosen for the 2023-24 cohort of the prestigious NCAA Pathway Program, designed to elevate senior-level athletics administrators to the next step as directors of athletics or conference commissioners. This yearlong program is an intensive learning opportunity for a limited number of participants who work at an NCAA school or conference in any division.

He began his FGCU career after 25 years with Gannon University, working in almost every capacity of the athletics department during his Golden Knight career that spanned over two decades and helped the department become one of the premier programs in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and NCAA Division II.

Teliski played an integral role in an athletics department that captured back-to-back PSAC Dixon Trophies, the conference all-sports trophy, in 2021-22 and 2022-23. He was instrumental in Gannon's ascension on the national level in NCAA Division II. In 2023-24, Gannon finished No. 19 among more than 300 D-II institutions in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings, the University's highest position ever in the national all-sports competition.

While at Gannon, Teliski served on the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) Division II Committee, NCAA Division I women's water polo national championship committee and the NCAA water polo rules committee. Additionally, he was selected to be part of a limited group of administrators nationally to participate in the NCAA Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute, as well as the NCAA Professional Development Program for Compliance Administrators.

Serving in the capacity of associate director of athletics at Gannon from 2018-24, Teliski's sport oversight responsibilities during that time span included baseball, women's and men's cross country, women's and men's golf, women's and men's water polo, women's and men's swimming and diving, acrobatics and tumbling and competitive cheer and dance. These programs were part of a department that included 24 intercollegiate teams and 700+ student-athletes. Additionally, he oversaw the athletic department’s media relations office and facilities.

Teliski consistently provides support to outside groups and serves on various committees. He served as the PSAC sports information directors liaison from 2020-24, helping bring projects and ideas of the league's media relations professionals to the conference's administrative groups. Teliski also served on the NCAA Baseball Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) for four years from 2013-16 and the NCAA compliance committee put in charge of developing the rule book for women's wrestling which was an NCAA emerging sport at the time. In 2015, he was the lead administrator for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Baseball Championship as the NCAA site representative.

Teliski received a bachelor’s degree in communication arts with a minor in English journalism in 1997, graduating cum laude. He obtained his Master of Business Administration degree at Gannon University in 2022, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Teliski resides in Fort Myers with his beautiful wife Tianna. He is the proud father of Zachary (27), Victoria (25), Brianna (25) and Joshua (21). Zachary earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Gannon University in Spring 2021. Victoria and Brianna graduated from Gannon University in Spring 2023, majoring in education and psychology, respectively. Joshua enters his senior year at Florida Gulf Coast University as a legal studies major in Fall 2026.
