Tuesday contest canceled due to electrical issues

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Tuesday night's baseball game between Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida International University has been canceled due to electrical issues at Swanson Stadium.

The Eagles led 6-3 heading to the third inning when the game was delayed due to light issues. When the lights were recycled, one bank of lights behind home plate did not come back on. The liabilities involved in this caused for a delay to try to get the lights fixed. When the lights couldn't be repaired in a manageable time, the game was canceled.

FGCU will next be in action Friday against the University of Central Arkansas in Atlantic Sun Conference action. First pitch at Swanson Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m.
