Baseball releases majority of 2025 schedule

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Eight consecutive games at Swanson Stadium to start the season and a full slate of Atlantic Sun Conference games highlight the 2025 Florida Gulf Coast University baseball schedule. The majority of the schedule was released today by head coach Dave Tollett.

"We're really looking forward to this year's schedule," said Coach Tollett. "We think this will be a challenging set of games that gets us in a good position to compete for a conference championship by the end of the season."

Spring Frequent Flyer passes, single game and group tickets are available by visiting FGCUTickets.com or by calling 1-866-FGCU-TIX (342-8849).

The Eagles begin the year with a visit from Fairfield for a three-game set Feb. 14-16. FGCU will then host 2024 NCAA Regional participant Indiana State for a two-game set Feb. 18-19. This will mark the third season in a row that the Eagles have faced ISU. The homestand to start the season wraps up with a three-game set against Stony Brook Feb. 21-23.

FGCU will make its first trip away from Swanson Stadium Feb. 26 as the Eagles battle in-state foe Miami. Last season, the two teams met in Coral Gables with the Eagles pulling out a 12-10 win in extra innings over their cross-coast rivals.

Co-champions of the ASUN regular season in 2024, the Eagles will start conference play with another of the co-champions as FGCU visits Stetson for a three-game series March 14-16. The Eagles took two games of a three-game set in DeLand last year during the regular season, but Stetson would eliminate the Eagles in the conference tournament.

A new opponent to Division I will make a visit to Swanson Stadium March 21-23 as West Georgia visits for an ASUN series. UWG is beginning its transition to D-I with the 2024-25 athletic season. The Eagles will then visit UNF for a three-game ASUN series March 28-30. The Eagles swept the Ospreys last season in the final series of the ASUN regular season, clinching a share of the ASUN regular season title in the process.

Last season, the Eagles swept Jacksonville in a three-game series at Swanson Stadium. This year, FGCU will try for another ASUN sweep April 4-6. The Eagles will then look for a measure of revenge against Queens as the Eagles head to Charlotte, North Carolina for a three-game ASUN set. The Royals took two out of three from the Eagles in Charlotte last season.

As part of the ASUN switching to divisional play for 2025, the Eagles will then play all five of their Southeast Division foes in return three-game sets. FGCU goes to JU April 17-19 before Queens comes to Fort Myers April 25-27. UNF will visit May 2-4 with FGCU making its first trip to West Georgia May 9-11. The regular season closes with FGCU hosting Stetson May 15-17.

The ASUN Championship will take place May 20-25 in DeLand on the campus of Stetson.
