Reservations Being Accepted for 2021 Night At The Nest Gala

The premier event will be Friday, December 3 at 6 PM.

FORT MYERS, Fla. - FGCU Athletics is now taking reservations for the 2021 Night at the Nest Gala on Friday, December 3 in Alico Arena. Tables are close to selling out, so make your reservation today so you don't miss out on one of the premier events in Southwest Florida. We are looking forward to another fun and successful evening and hope you consider attending and/or supporting the event. As always, all net proceeds from the dinner, the LIVE auction, and the silent auction directly benefit our wonderful student-athletes.

Night at the Nest returns this year after being moved to a virtual event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2019 event was the most successful in terms of generating $675,000 in net revenue and was headlined by a $1 million gift by Chris and Brianne Sale '16 to kick off the EAGLE Campaign.

In each of the past five years, Night at the Nest has generated more than half-a-million dollars for FGCU student-athlete scholarships. Due primarily to the generosity of companies and individuals from Southwest Florida, a total of nearly $4.5 million has been raised since the events inception in 2010.

The evening features live and silent auctions on unique memorabilia and experiences among other must-have items. The cocktail reception and dinner provide those in attendance to meet FGCU student-athletes and coaches while enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Additionally, in just nine seasons of D-I postseason eligibility, the Eagles have had a combined 42 teams or individuals compete in NCAA championships. Eight FGCU programs have earned a top-25 national ranking in their respective sport - including women's basketball (No. 21, 2020-21), beach volleyball (No. 20, 2021) and both men's soccer (2018, 2019) and women's soccer (2018) as three of the most recent. In 2016-17, the Green and Blue posted a department-best sixth-place finish in the DI-AAA Learfield Directors' Cup and top-100 showing nationally, ahead of several Power-5 and FBS institutions. In 2018-19, the Eagles had an ASUN and state of Florida best seven teams earn the NCAA's Public Recognition Award for their Academic Progress Rate in their sport. FGCU also collectively earned a record 3.50 GPA in the classroom in the fall 2020 semester and has outperformed the general University undergraduate population for 24 consecutive semesters. The 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring, 2020 Fall, and 2021 Spring semesters each saw another milestone reached as all 15 programs achieved a 3.0-or-higher team GPA in each. The Eagles also served an all-time high 7,200 volunteer hours in 2017 - being recognized as one of two runners-up for the inaugural NACDA Community Service Award presented by the Fiesta Bowl.
