As a unit, the Eagles out-blocked the Spartans 13-to-3 along the net. On the last match of the regular season, which was their 25th win of the year, Serrano played a great defense. Head coach Matt Botsford had to say this about Serrano's outstanding .778 hitting percentage as she recorded seven kills in her nine attack attempts, "Daniele was excellent at the net, and made some smart decisions today as an attacker."
