Eduardo Alfonzo clinched the dual match against FAU Friday night. Alfonzo also earned the lone doubles win for the Eagles, pairing with Javier Fernandez. Four of the top five singles positions won their matches, including the Venezuelan at No. 4 in the lineup.
With the overall match tied at 3-3, Alfonzo claimed the victory for the Eagles in the third set helping the Green and Blue defeat FAU 4-3. After the leadership displayed by the senior, the FGCU men’s tennis team evened its 2016 season record at 2-2.
