CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Six members of the FGCU women's golf team earned Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar accolades, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. The criteria for selection ranks as one of the most stringent in all of college athletics, with each award recipient earning a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher.

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. -- Despite grueling weather conditions at the Jekyll Island Golf Club, the FGCU women's golf team finished strong and compiled its best score of the 2014 Atlantic Sun Championship to earn fourth place in the event. The Eagles concluded the tournament with team scores of 314 in the second round and 299 in the third round to finish tied for fourth in the field of 10 teams.

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The second round of the Atlantic Sun Championship Tournament was halted due to severe weather Tuesday afternoon. With each player finishing no more than eight holes on the day, the FGCU women’s golf team sits at plus-3 for the second round and holds a fourth-place ranking in the field of 10 teams.

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. -- The FGCU women's golf team will begin play at the 25th Atlantic Sun Women's Golf Championship Monday, April 14 at the Pines Lakes Course at the Jekyll Island Golf Club. The tournament will consist of three rounds, with one played each day Monday through Wednesday. The teams will tee off at 8 a.m. each day.

OCALA, Fla. -- After three rounds of play at the Morehead State Ocala Invitational at the Juliette Falls Golf Club in Dunnellon, Fla., the FGCU women's golf team captured sixth place in the field of 16 teams. The Eagles shaved four strokes off their second-round score for a team score of 305 in the third round and a total score of 912.

OCALA, Fla. -- While facing less than ideal weather conditions, the FGCU women's golf added nine strokes to its first round score to sit at +31 through two rounds at the Morehead State Ocala Invitational. The Eagles produced a total score of 913 to finish 21 strokes behind tournament champion, Elon and just 10 strokes out of the top five.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The FGCU women's golf team will begin the tournament schedule of the 2014 spring slate as the team travels to the Second Annual Florida State Women’s Golf Match-Up Tournament this weekend. The tournament will take place at Southwood Golf Club and is hosted by Florida State University. To start off the spring season, this three-day, 54 hole tournament will feature individual and team components, with FGCU being teamed with Mercer during team competition.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The FGCU women's golf team spent time at the end of November donating time to The Salvation Army in Fort Myers. The team helped the organization sort and prepare donations for distribution. It was the second-consecutive year that the team volunteered with the organization.

The Eagles finished the three-day event held at Lakewood Ranch Country Club with a team total of 904 and a ranking of 10th in the field, while senior Briana Carlson (Inverness, Fla./Citrus High School) took sixth place among 93 golfers with a total score of 214.

Senior Briana Carlson (Inverness, Fla./Citrus High School) led the Eagles with a one-under score of 71 through the second round and currently holds a tie at eighth place. Carlson’s low second-round score was the second best score in the field of 93 golfers.
