Final FGCU Coaches Show Set For Feb. 15

FORT MYERS, Fla. – First-year FGCU men’s basketball head coach Andy Enfield and women’s basketball head coach Karl Smesko will sit down with host Tom James on Wednesday, Feb. 15, for the fourth and final rendition of the FGCU Coaches Show starting at 5:30 p.m.

The hour-long show can be heard live for free on via Stretch Internet. James, the voice of the Eagles, will be on the air with coach Smesko from 5:30-6:00 p.m. and they will be joined by redshirt junior Brittany Kennedy (Spokane, Wash./Lewis and Clark HS/Oregon State). Coach Enfield and junior Sherwood Brown (Orlando, Fla./Olympia HS) will be on the air with James for the final 30 minutes.

Eagles Club members will get the chance to ask questions during the show. If time permits, questions emailed to Director of Sports Information Patrick Pierson ( will also be asked during the show.

Brown and Kennedy have each been lauded by the Atlantic Sun Conference in the past few weeks, taking home weekly awards. Named the A-Sun Player of the Week on Jan. 31, Brown is one of two players in the A-Sun in the top 11 in scoring (12.8/11th) and rebounding (6.0/9th). Kennedy, who has 27 steals in her last seven games, was named A-Sun Newcomer of the Week on Feb. 7 after averaging 9.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 4.0 assists in a pair of wins in Jacksonville.

FGCU is the only school to clinch a spot in both the men’s and women’s A-Sun Tournament and leads the league with a combined 23 conference victories. The women clinched a share of their third A-Sun regular season crown last Saturday with their win over Belmont, while the men completed a season-sweep of Lipscomb on Monday to clinch their postseason berth.
