Fort Myers – The FGCU women’s basketball team (27-1) defeated Webber International University tonight 94-55 to remain undefeated at Alico Arena (12-0).
Trish Fleming poured in a game high 28 points including 9-for-13 shooting to lead the Eagles as Fleming will play her final home game this Wednesday night versus PBAU.
The Eagles got off to a good start tonight and never looked back as they shot a red-hot 11-for-20 from three-point range, and 47.8% from the field.
Noreen McCallum earned a double double as she scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the win.
Junior center Robyn Swain added 12 points and 7 rebounds, and Megan Jones tallied 10 points as FGCU swept the Lady Warriors this year (2-0).
Webber was led by Brooke Tomlinson, who scored 20 points including 8-for-13 shooting from the floor.
FGCU will take on Palm Beach Atlantic University this Wednesday for their final home game of the season. This also marks the first ever-senior night in school history. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
