Nichols won 276 games in 12 years and two national championships at Barry. He was named Coach of the Year after leading Barry to the 2001 national championship.

Kokanovic, Santos and Youngquist Earn All-Conference Honors
After wrapping up the A-Sun Championship in their first year in the league, the FGCU volleyball team begins to collect post-season hardware. Junior Ana Kokanovic (Lazarevac, Serbia) was named Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year and Roberta Santos (Recife, Brazil) joined her on the first team. Brooke Youngquist (Fort Myers, Fla.) earned second team honors.

Volleyball Wraps Up Atlantic Sun Championship
The FGCU volleyball team wrapped up the Atlantic Sun Championship with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-24, 30-23) of Jacksonville. With the win, the Eagles improve to 23-2 overall and finish their inaugural A-Sun campaign with a 10-1 mark while Jacksonville falls to 16-12 and 8-3.

The FGCU volleyball team swept the University of North Florida 3-0 (30-23, 30-18, 30-23) for their 22nd win of the season. Despite being A-Sun rivals, the match was not a conference match. UNF falls to 4-23 on the season.

Volleyball Sweeps Mercer for 21st Win
The FGCU volleyball team rolled to their 21st win of the season and 9th A-Sun win with a 3-0 (31-29, 30-17, 30-20) win at Mercer. The Eagles improve to 21-2 overall and 9-1 in the A-Sun while Mercer falls to 8-16, 6-3. The Eagles clinched a share of the regular-season volleyball championship and can win the title outright next weekend with a win at Jacksonville.

Volleyball Picks Up Program's 100th Win
The FGCU volleyball team earned the 100th win in program history with a 3-0 (30-15, 30-12, 30-16) sweep of Kennesaw State in Atlantic Sun Conference play on Friday night. The Eagles improve to 20-2 overall and 8-1 in the A-Sun while Kennesaw State falls to 4-21, 2-6 A-Sun.

Volleyball Sends Seniors Out With 3-0 Sweep of UNF
The FGCU volleyball team swept North Florida 3-0 (30-14, 30-14, 30-18) for their 5th straight win and 19th of the season. FGCU improves to 19-2, 7-1 A-Sun while UNF falls to 4-20, 1-8 A-Sun. For the Eagles, it also marked the 24th straight win in Alico Arena and sent seniors Patricia Silva, Whitney Hendry and Brooke Youngquist out winners on senior night.
