Blackwell, the preseason A-Sun Defensive Player of the Year, is the anchor of the FGCU defense that allowed just 13 goals in 2014 and only two to A-Sun opponents during the regular season. The Jenks, Okla. native is consistently asked to mark the top offensive threat of the opposition for a defense that had shutout 10 opponents. She started all 21 matches and left just one with an injury, otherwise playing every minute of every match for a total of 1824. She picked up her first point of the season in the form of an assist at home against CSU Bakersfield. She scored her first goal against Palm Beach Atlantic on a shot that she fired from approximately 40 yards outside the goal mouth. Her three points from the back line match her 2013 season total.

Appeared and started in all 20 games for FGCU during her sophomore campaign ... added one goal and one assist while serving as the primary defender ... her assist game in a 5-0 win over Albany (Aug. 25) ... her goal came on a shot that was taken from nearly the mid-line in a 2-1 victory over ETSU (Oct. 11) ... Helped guide FGCU to a fourth-straight Atlantic Sun Regular Season Championship.

Four-year varsity starter for Jenks High School Lady Trojans in Jenks, Okla … Named to the Oklahoma All-State team in 2011, won the 6A state championship in her freshman year … helped take her high school team to the quarter finals the following two years … played for Tulsa Soccer Club since she was 11 and has won two state championships and numerous tournaments as the team captain … currently playing with TSC/Hurricane in the Elite Clubs National League.
