FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU athletic department will begin its “Fly With The Eagles” new member drive on Monday night in the Alico Arena Hospitality Suite. Tonight’s kick-off party will feature some of FGCU’s head coaches who will draft a team of current Eagles Club members and volunteers for October’s membership drive competition.
Three or four teams of 10-15 people will be formed to go out over the next month to recruit new members into the Eagles Club. The goal of the drive is to introduce the Eagles Club to the community, increase membership and continue to support FGCU’s athletic programs, coaches and student-athletes.
“Tonight’s event is a chance for our coaches, administrators, current Eagles Club members and new volunteers to get excited about increasing membership and support of FGCU athletics,” said David Grant, who serves as Vice Chair for Membership on the Eagles Club Advisory Board.
The kick-off party will begin at 6 p.m. in the Alico Arena Hospitality Suite and will be catered by Aurelios. The teams that are put together will work together through the month of October and look to increase membership with the winning team being awarded at the end at the end of the drive on Nov. 1.

Volunteers for this month’s competition will be taken up until tonight’s kick-off party commences. People can join the Eagles Club for as little as $150 a year.
