FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU Athletics has named women's golfer Georgia Price (Bude, England/Fort Myers HS) and baseball player Tyler Selesky (Estero, Fla./Estero HS) as recipients of the Northwestern Mutual Academic Student-Athletes of the Month Award for the month of April.

Each month during the school year, the FGCU Athletics Communications Office and Athletic Academic staff will choose a pair of Eagles as the Northwestern Mutual Academic Student-Athlete of the Month. Those selected for the honor will have exhibited a combination of superior athletic and overall academic success.

Price has graduated from FGCU with a degree in communications after accumulating a GPA of 3.79 for her career. The senior helped guide the Eagles to a third-place at the 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship. The Eagles carded a team score of 309 in the final round after shooting scores of 303 and 298 over the first two to finish just eight strokes out of second place. Price finished her senior season with a 79.50 stroke average and posted a season-low score of 70 on March 3rd in the final round of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic.

Selesky is a business marketing major with a 3.24 GPA through his junior year. The Estero native is having a career-year on the baseball diamond and has been named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week once this season. So far he is hitting .339 which ranks third among all Eagles and has scored 40 runs while driving in 37 with one home run, two triples and 13 doubles. He has also walked 33 times to produce a .422 on base percentage.
