Earlier this week, AllWhiteKit.com, a blog that recognizes and promotes women's soccer around the world, released its NCAA - CoachRank Adjusted Rankings and listed FGCU head coach Jim Blankenship as the No. 10 coach in the nation. He is the highest ranked of any his peers in the Atlantic Sun and one of three coaches from the state of Florida to appear in the top 10 (2 - Florida State, 9 - Florida).

FGCU baseball head coach Dave Tollett announced this week the hiring of Pete Woodworth as an assistant coach. Woodworth is a 2010 graduate of FGCU and is the program's all-time wins leader on the mound with 25. He will be in charge of a pitching staff that returns all four primary starting pitchers from the 2014 season, including A-Sun Pitcher of the Year and All-American Mike Murray.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Coming off another extremely successful season which brought FGCU five Atlantic Sun Conference regular-season championships and several individual records, athletic department officials have named Mike Murray and Jordi Vives as co-winners of the 2013-14 Most Outstanding Male Student-Athlete Award and Kira Toussaint and Kelly Perzanowski as the co-winners of the Most Outstanding Female Student-Athlete Award.

FGCU baseball alum and 2010 Collegiate Baseball National Pitcher of the Year, Chris Sale, has been voted by the fans to represent the American League in the 2014 MLB All-Star Game hosted by the Minnesota Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis on Tuesday, July 15. It is Sale's third-consecutive All-Star selection.
