ATHENS, Ga. – Thibaud Aime won his consolation match at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southeast Championships, being held at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Matthew Rock fell in his consolation match.

Aime (Figeac, France) battled back from a first-set loss, eventually knocking off Georgia’s Will Reynolds, 4-6, 6-4, (10-3). Matthew Rock (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) fell to Georgia Southern’s Matthijs Verdam, 6-2, 6-3.

Unlike the women’s ITA tournament, the men’s consolation draw is not in a tournament format; rather, it only involves one consolation match for each of the 32 competitors. Therefore, both Aime and Rock are finished with their matches at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southeast Championships.
