Men's Tennis Earns 2nd Win of Season

FORT MYERS, Fla., - The FGCU men’s tennis team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over Villanova on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 2-4 overall and remain at 0-2 in the Atlantic Sun. Villanova falls to 0-5 on the season.

The Eagles took the doubles point with wins at the #1 and #2 positions including a convincing win at #1 where Brenton Bacon and Andrew Kam won 8-2.

Kam continued to roll with a 6-2, 6-0 win at the #1 singles as well. Ervin Garibovic won at the #2 singles position in convincing fashion as well. Danny Lee and Edson Lima won at #3 and #4 respectively to help FGCU secure the 5-2 win.

The Eagles will be in action again tomorrow morning when they host Fairfield at 10:00 am and again on Tuesday when Boston College visits the FGCU tennis Complex.
