No. 17 FGCU Rolls Past Lindenwood in Men's Tennis

By Chris Perry FORT MYERS, Fla. – The No. 17 Florida Gulf Coast University men’s tennis team picked up their sixth shutout with a 9-0 win over Lindenwood University on Tuesday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex. The five players for the Eagles garnered two wins apiece. Picking up double victories for FGCU were seniors Juan Carlos Osorio (Quito, Ecuador) and Tim Offerman (Hamburg, Germany) at No. 1, junior Alberto Gutierrez (Bogota, Columbia) and sophomore Gavin Manders (Warwick, Bermuda) at No. 2, and freshmen Edson Lima (Brasilia, Brazil) and Danny Lee (Naples, Fla.) at No. 3. All five players picked up a second win in singles play with Brad Henderson (Lithia, Fla.) picking up a win at No. 6 singles in straight sets. FGCU (14-3) hosts Rollins on Sunday morning.
