FGCU Men's Tennis Beats Boston College

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s tennis team posted its third straight shutout with a 9-0 win over Division I Boston College Sunday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex. Senior Richard Stempnowski (Cape Coral, FL) and senior Jose Pastrello (Limiera, Brazil) improved to 7-0 with a win at No. 1 doubles. Juniors Juan Carlos Osorio (Quito, Ecuador) and Tim Offerman (Hamburg, Germany) upped their mark to 5-1 with a win at No. 2 doubles, while sophomore Alberto Gutierrez (Bogotá, Columbia) and senior Seth Fogelman (Naples, FL) paired for a win at No. 3 doubles to run their record to a perfect 5-0. All six went on to post singles victories. 17th-ranked FGCU, which improved to 6-1 with the win, hosts Division I Lehigh University on Tuesday at the FGCU Tennis Complex. Singles competition 1.
