Men's Soccer travels to take on Owls of FAU

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU men’s soccer team hits the road once again, travelling to Boca Raton to take on the Owls of Florida Atlantic University. Game time is scheduled for Monday, September 7th at 7 p.m. at the FAU Soccer Stadium.

Series Information: This is the third meeting between the two schools. FGCU leads the series 2-0-0.

Last Meeting: Saturday, November 8th 2008
The Florida Gulf Coast University men's soccer team finished the 2008 campaign on a winning note by defeating FAU by the score of 2-0.

The first goal of the match was scored by Francesco DiStefano, who knocked a header past the keeper and into the back of the net to put FGCU up 1-0. The Eagles added their second goal of the game in the 58th minute when DiStefano found Scott Harrison in front of the net to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead.

FGCU starting keeper Adam Glick recorded six saves in goal for the Eagles and registered his fourth shutout of the season. FAU outshot FGCU 8-7.
