FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s soccer program has developed a program designed to teach elementary school students the benefits of taking care of their bodies and being good teammates.

The program is divided into four segments: exercise, teamwork, sportsmanship and nutrition. The FGCU student-athletes run each of the four stations and spend time with groups of students discussing the importance of each topic and participating in activities that reinforce those topics. The program takes roughly an hour, and all participating students get to work with each station and get to know each of the FGCU players.

If you are interested in having the FGCU men’s soccer team work with a group of youngsters, contact the men’s soccer office at menssoccer@fgcu.edu.
