FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s soccer team has been ranked #6 in the South Region by the NSCAA after the second week of competition.
The Eagles faced opponents from the Mid-American Conference and the Big East Conference this past weekend, earning a 0-0 (2 OT) tie with Hartwick College and falling 3-0 to Syracuse. The 0-1-1 record earned FGCU a third-place finish in the Mayor’s Cup XXXIII, which also featured UNC Wilmington.
The regional ranking is the second for the program, which began competition one year ago.
The Eagles will host their first home match this weekend as they welcome Seattle to the FGCU Soccer Complex on Sept. 12. The match is set to begin at 7:00 pm.
