The FGCU men's soccer team (1-1-1) played Hartwick (0-2-1) to a 0-0 tie on Friday, Sept. 5 in the opening match of the 33rd Mayor's Cup held at Hartwick's Elmore Field.
9/3/2008 Eagles to Participate in Prestigious Mayor's Cup
The FGCU men's soccer team travels to Oneonta, N.Y. this weekend for the prestigious Mayor's Cup. The Green and Blue plays twice during the tournament, opening with a 7:30 p.m. match on Friday, Sept. 5 versus Hartwick. The Eagles will also face Syracuse on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m.

9/2/2008 FGCU Men's Soccer Ranked #8 in Region
The Florida Gulf Coast University men's soccer team has been ranked #8 in the South Region by the NSCAA after the first week of competition.
8/31/2008 Eagles Take Down Penn State, 1-0
The Florida Gulf Coast University men's soccer team captured the largest victory in program history by defeating Penn State 1-0 in its final game in the Bert and Iris Wolstein Classic at Jesse Owens Stadium. The win brings the Eagles to 1-1 on the season and secured the team a second-place finish in the tournament that also featured Ohio State and University of Central Florida.
8/30/2008 No. 9 Ohio State Slips by FGCU
The FGCU men's soccer team opened up the 2008 campaign by dropping a heart-breaking 2-1 decision to No. 9 Ohio State Satuday afternoon.
8/29/2008 Eagles and #9 Buckeyes Postponed Until Saturday
FGCU's match-up with No. 9 Ohio State was postponed due to lightning. The two teams will resume the match tomorrow, Aug. 30, at 2 pm at OSU's Jesse Owens Stadium.
