FORT MYERS, Fla., - The FGCU men’s basketball team will take on North Florida in their first Atlantic Sun Conference game. The Eagles are currently 4-9 after a 60-30 win over Penn while UNF is 1-11 after dropping eight straight.

The Eagles had a record setting performance in their last outing against the Quakers, holding Penn to six points, one field goal and %5.9 from the floor, all records since the introduction of the shot clock in 1986. The Ospreys are the only Atlantic Sun team FGCU has faced with the Eagles holding a 3-0 advantage in the series.

UNF has dropped eight straight, with six of those coming on the road. The two teams have one common opponent, Florida Atlantic, with the Owls knocking off both teams. FAU downed UNF 70-64 and FGCU 69-55.

The UNF game can be heard live on ESPN Sports Radio 770 and seen on ASun.TV. FGCU will return to Alico Arena next Friday night when they host Stetson on January 11 at 7:00 pm. That game will be carried live on Comcast Sports Southeast and tickets can be purchased at the box office or by calling (239) 590-7145 for $1.
