Men's Basketball Takes on Arizona State

TEMPE, Az., - The FGCU men’s basketball team concludes its 13-day five-game road trip on Wednesday night when they take on Arizona State at 9:00 pm EST. FGCU is currently 2-4 while the Sun Devils are 3-1.

Arizona State has won three consecutive games after dropping their season opener to Illinois in the Maui Invitational. ASU has three players averaging double figures in scoring including a Wooden Award candidate in Jeff Pendergraph. Pendergraph is averaging 11.8 points per game and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per contest. James Harden is averaging a team-best 16.5 points per game while Ty Abbott adds 10.5 points per contest. The Sun Devils are currently on a three-game winning streak including a 34-point win on Monday night in their home opener.

Despite finishing up their road trip, the Eagles are just hitting the middle of a stretch of nine consecutive games away from Alico Arena. The Eagles are looking to even their record in games away from Alico Arena (currently 2-3) on Wednesday night. Landon Adler was named to the 2007 South Padre Island Invitational All-Tournament team after picking up a pair of double-doubles in the four game event.
