Men's Basketball Looks for Second Straight Win

FORT MYERS, Fla., - The FGCU men’s basketball team plays its 7th straight game away from Alico Arena on Saturday night. The Eagles take on Florida Atlantic, who is 1-7 and looking for their first home win of the season.

The Owls lost their home opener against McNeese State 64-59 on Saturday. This is the second game of a three-game home stand for the Owls. Paul Graham leads the team in scoring at 17.8 points per game while Carlos Monroe is averaging 16.0 points per game and a team-high 9.1 rebounds per game. FAU is a former member of the Atlantic Sun, moving to the Sun Belt for the 2005-06 season. Their lone win this year is against current A-Sun member Stetson, a 68-62 win on November 16.

Boca Raton, Fla., native Casey Wohlleb leads the Eagles in scoring at 15.0 points per game. The Eagles are coming off of a 73-70 win at FIU last weekend as Landon Adler (Decatur, Ind.) scored a career-high 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. For his efforts, he was named Atlantic Sun Conference player of the week. This is also FGCU’s second straight game against a foe from the Sun Belt Conference.

The Eagles will be in action again December 13 when they travel to West Point, N.Y., to face Army.
