Jason Peacock hit a homer in the 11th to lift the Eagles to a 7-5 win at Florida Atlantic. The Eagles improve to 33-13 on the season.

Cape Coral native Bobby Green went 3-5 with three RBI in FGCU's 12-1 win over Florida International. The Eagles improve to 32-13 on the season.
5/5/2008 Pete Woodworth Named A-Sun Pitcher of the Week
Pete Woodworth was named Atlantic Sun Pitcher of the Week after picking up a win in the series finale at Stetson. Woodworth went 8.0 innings and struck out seven batters while allowing just three runs.

Jason Peacock has been named to the Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Award Watch List and Richard Bleier has been named to the Roger Clemens Award Pitcher of the Year Watch List.

4/8/2008 Baseball Drops Heartbreaker at #1 Miami
The Eagles fell 4-2 at #1 Miami in the 11th inning off a walk-off homer by Dave DiNatle. The Eagles (25-9) return to action tomorrow when they host Florida International.

Mikel Alvarez matched a school record 19 game hitting streak with a 2-5 performance on Saturday in a 12-5 loss to Belmont.
4/4/2008 Baseball Rallies in the 9th to Sweep Doubleheader From Belmont
The Eagles rallied from four runs down in game one to win 7-6 in the 10th inning in game one. FGCU then cruised to a 9-2 win behind a strong pitching performance by Pete Woodworth who struck out a career-high 10 batters.

The FGCU baseball team swept their third A-Sun series to improve to 21-7 overall 13-2 in the A-Sun with a 3-2 win in the 10th inning over Campbell on Saturday afternoon. Campbell falls to 9-17 overall and 5-10 in the league.

The Eagles improve to 20-7 overall and 12-2 in the Atlantic Sun with a 3-2 win in the opener and 13-3 win in the nightcap. Campbell falls to 9-16 and 5-9.

The Eagles fell to 18-7 after an 8-4 to the #19 UCF Knights on Wednesday night. UCF improves to 21-4 with the win. The two will meet again next Wednesday.
3/25/2008 Baseball Splits Season Series With USF After 3-2 Loss
Stephen Rassel extended his school-record hitting streak to 19-games in a 3-2 loss to USF. FGCU will be back in action again tomorrow night when they host #19 UCF at 6:00 pm in Swanson Stadium.

The FGCU baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Mercer to improve to 18-5 overall and 10-2 in the conference. The Eagles now have a two game lead in the A-Sun.
3/22/2008 Baseball Claims League Lead With DH Sweep
Eagles claim sole possession of league lead with doubleheader sweep of Mercer. FGCU won game one 16-4 and the rain-delayed second game 6-5 in 14 innings. FGCU is now 17-4 overall and 9-2 in league play.

The FGCU baseball team improved to 15-5 with a 13-6 win at Bethune-Cookman. Homeruns by Ozzie Borrell, Vinnie Scarduzio and Casey Coleman sparked the win.

Senior Jason Peacock (Bartow, Fla.) kept his 15-game hit streak alive with a two-run double in the ninth gave the Eagles a 7-6 victory at Wynn Field on the campus of Manatee Community College on Wednesday night. The Eagles improve their record to 12-3, continuing their best start in school history. With the loss the Mastodons fall to 1-10-1 on the season.

Pete Woodworth Tossed 7.1 innings and struck out a season-high eight batters in a 2-1 loss to Florida on Tuesday night.

FGCU improves to 11-2 overall and 5-1 in the A-Sun after taking both games of a doubleheader over Gardner-Webb. FGCU won game one 10-2 and game two 7-1.

FGCU freshman pitcher Richie Erath (Lake Worth, Fla.) turned in a dominant performance to pick up his second win of the year. FGCU improves to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the A-Sun while UNF falls to 3-3, 1-2 A-Sun.

The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball opened up its A-Sun slate with North Florida, splitting a doubleheader with the Ospreys at Swanson Stadium on Saturday. The Eagles came up short in the first game, 5-1, and won the second, 4-3 in 10 innings.

The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball team continued its hot start by sweeping a double header from the Fire of Southeastern University. The Eagles won game one by a score of 8-1 and game two by a score of 18-1. With the pair of victories FGCU is now 3-0, while the Fire falls to 6-9.

Tim Roberson hit a homerun in his first collegiate at bat to start the 11-1 rout of Southeastern. Richard Bleir picked up the win, going six innings while fanning seven.

Playing for the Alexandria Beetles, Josh Upchurch earned a spot on the post-season all-star team while Richard Bleier was named team Cy-Young Award winner. Ozzie Borrell, playing for the North Adams Steeplecats was selected as a 2nd team All-NECBL member
8/6/2007 Baseball's Jason Peacock Named MVP of FCBL Playoffs
FGCU senior Jason Peacock (Bartow, Fla.) was named playoff-MVP in the Florida Collegiate Summer League after leading the Leesburg Lightning to a 6-0 win in the championship game. Peacock went 3-for-4 in the championship game with three RBI.
7/23/2007 Ozzie Borrell Named MVP of NECBL All-Star Game
Ozzie Borrell was named MVP of the New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game.
7/17/2007 Baseball Summer League Update
