Meghan Spero was hired as FGCU's women's golf head coach during the summer of 2010 and is set to begin her first season with the Eagles in 2010-11.
Spero was a 4-year letter winner for the Iowa Hawkeyes (1997-2001). She is currently ranked 8th on the all-time individual season scoring average (76.8) list and tied-12th on the all-time 54-hole individual performance average list at Iowa. Spero has been a club professional in Southwest Florida since 2002 and is the first assistant professional at Grey Oaks Country Club in Naples. The Rock Island, Ill., native played the Futures Tour in 2003 and is now a PGA professional.
